 Now Accepting Registration For Summer Jazz Sessions The Jazz Angels offer the best jazz programming for boys and girls ages 11 - 17 Option 1: Summer Jazz Band (10+ hours of high quality, low student-to-teacher ratio jazz!) When: Tues. & Thurs. Evenings, July 6th through July 29th (8 rehearsals plus 2 performances) Who: Musicians with one year of instrumental experience required, ages 11+ Tuition: $250 (limited scholarships available) OPTION 2: Summer Jazz Camp (40 hours of jazz fun!) Experience the magic of high quality, low student-to-teacher ratio instruction! NEW THIS YEAR..... Vocal Jazz! Plus Jazz media/history, sectionals (rhythm, horns, vocals, and jazz bands) When: Monday – Friday, 1:00pm – 5:00pm Session 1: July 5th – 16th • Session 2: July 19th – 30th Who: Six months of music experience preferred (instrument or choir), entering 4th-8th grade Tuition: $400* (get 10% off ($360) with the enrollment of a friend or if you mention “Satchmo” when you enroll. - Scholarships available - Discounts offerred for multiple session enrollment
The Day at Summer Jazz Camp 2010
Jazz Media is a multi media introduction to jazz history including CDs, Videos and DVDs. Each day we will explore a new decade in the evolution of this great American music. Jazzers Choice: For campers who are in need of some physical release, there will be fun, jazz-related organized outdoor activities. For those wanting to increase their jazz repertoire and improvisation skills, we will hold jam sessions for some musical “free-play.” Sectionals: Musicians work with like instruments i.e. horns, vocals and rhythm instruments (piano, bass, drums and guitar) to learn blending and grooving in preparation for the full band rehearsal Jazz band rehearsal: The full bands get together to perfect their music.
